Unisoft's "Art in Video Games" Exhibition To Make Its Way To Malaysia!

Calling all video game fans and art lovers across the Causeway!

You will soon have the chance to enjoy Ubisoft Singapore's "Art in Video Games" exhibition held later this month.

The exhibition, hosted by leading art & design college - The One Academy, is the first time Ubisoft will be showcasing their video game art in Malaysia.

Like the Singapore version of the exhibition which opened last November, there will be a gallery of art for pirate fantasy-based "Assassins Creed IV Black Flag" and "Ghost Recon Online", but with 21 additional art concept displays.

"Assassins Creed IV Black Flag" was partly developed by Ubisoft Singapore. As for "Ghost Recon Online", the AAA Free-to-play military shooter game is set for a release on Steam this Spring.

Red Dot Diva attended the one held locally in November 2013 and even though the exhibition was small, she was very impressed with the artwork drawn and rendered by the artists working at Ubisoft Singapore.

The underwater concept art for "Assassins Creed IV Black Flag" was particularly superb especially when placed near a TV screen showing the portions of the moving digital sequences used in the game itself.

As for "Ghost Recon Online", it was surreal to see the mash-up of ideas that took to create buildings and street scenes that looked similar to those on Red Dot Island, but yet....  not quite.

For a peek into what Malaysian art lovers may get to see at the exhibition, here are a couple of photos Red Dot Diva took at the local show last year:

When is this special art exhibition taking place? Here are the details:
When: March 13th to March 19th, 2014
Time: 9 AM – 6.30 PM (Mon-Fri) and 9.30 AM – 8.30 PM (Sat & Sun)

In addition, on Saturday, March 15th at 4.30PM – 5.30pm, there will be a special live drawing session with Ubisoft artists, where they will share how the concept art is created. This should be a good session for aspiring Malaysian artists who are interested in joining this particular creative field. So, don't miss this!
