Celebrate Wonder Woman Day on 3 June 2017 at GnB Comics!



When DC Entertainment announced that 3 June 2017 will be Wonder Woman Day, Red Dot Diva wondered if there will be a similar event happening in Red Dot Island.

Thanks to local comic book store GnB Comics, there will indeed be a local Wonder Woman Day festivities this Saturday, 3 June 2017!

Wonder Woman first appeared in "All-Star Comics No. 8" back in 1941. Since then, the Amazon Princess has captured the hearts of fans all around the world for more than 75 years, and has come to represent strength, courage, wisdom and most of all, love.

To join in the tribute to Wonder Woman and her first solo movie debut, GnB Comics will be giving away the following items FREE with any purchase on 3 June 2017, from 12 PM to 7 PM.

These are adjustable paper WW accessories, which would be fun for kids to play with. (OK, they will be fun for adults too!)

The reprint of the current "Wonder Woman" series issue #1 by Greg Rucka and artist Liam Sharp ... 



... as well as "DC Super Hero Girls Wonder Woman Day Special Edition #1" written by Shea Fontana with art and a new cover by Yancey Labat.

If you are in the mood for hardcore retail therapy at GnB, there will be many more Wonder Woman comics and collectibles at the front line of the shop this Saturday, including the awesome Wonder Woman Blueline set that consists of a 6.75" action figure, inspired by the art of Jim Lee.




In addition, the store is also offering a USD1 to SGD1 sale on all graphic novels on that day!

Do check out GnB's Facebook page for updates to see if they have more Wonder Woman activities, or just head straight down to the shop this Saturday to join in the party. It will be great opportunity to get together so that you can discuss and analyze about all the details of the "Wonder Woman" movie, which is already out in local theatres on 31 May 2017.

Red Dot Diva has already watched the movie and the critics were not wrong. "Wonder Woman" is not only entertaining, it was also empowering and full of heart. A more in depth RDD movie review on "Wonder Woman" is in the works.
